Near Death Experience Survivor Shares how NOT to Settle for a Near Life Experience

Hey mate,

I look around, and see – many people – including myself at times – are having a Near Life Experience. I had what most people would call a Near Death Experience back in 1989 when I was beaten to death – a prison guard taken hostage – etc.

Since then, I’ve been exploring how not to settle for a Near Life Experience – sometimes I have been doing pretty darn good – sometimes not that great. Here are 7 ways you can guarantee you will live life more fully today – and have a life worth living.

  1. Let someone you love know that you love them. Touch them. Tell them. Hold them.
  2. Take a risk. Jump off the ledge, dive into the water, order something off the menu that you might not find yummy – or that you may find delightfully delicious.
  3. Move. Don’t exercise for God’s sake. Most people exercise for future benefits. Live life NOW. Move your body to experience it more.
  4. Breathe. Breathe in the air. Notice that YOU are the breath – the breathing – and even more.
  5. Share a secret. Share something that you have never told anyone. It could be something funny, exciting, sad or scary.
  6. Ask for forgiveness. We all have hurt people in this lifetime. Ask for forgiveness, from them, from yourself, from the Divine.
  7. Dance. Sing. Rejoice. When was the last time you danced? Was it in the supermarket? Was it by yourself? With a friend? With a stranger?

Okay, that’s it for today. Join me tomorrow where I will share some of my amazing Christmas holiday with you – traveling up the coast of Victoria and New South Wales. Photos are here: Holiday Photographs.

And let me know, how many of these goodies you use from the list today.

  1. Neville, Neville , Neville. What can I say. I have been truly blessed by this beautiful soul and mystic who continues to inspire me materially and spiritually. My consciousness continues to transcend itself as a result of His work

    Thank you muchly

  2. I was just discussing “forgiveness” with someone tonight.

I think the big thing to do is forgive yourself first for letting the other person upset, hurt, etc you. Then forgive them. Why hold a grudge. Why not forgive yourself for hurting someone. They may not see it right away, if ever. But the intent is there.

    1. Hi Carol,

I agree, forgiving yourself can be one of the most amazing miracles one can give themselves. Thank you for the gift of the reminder.

    2. Carol has it right, we LET other people hurt us. It’s easy to say, but tough to practice. We (well most people who haven’t woken up) are, in general, self-centered, controlling, manipulative beings always asking for “well, what’s in it for me?!” regardless of who we hurt, let down, abandon, cheat, and lie to. Until we realize that a majority of people are like children in an adult body, the ill will we intend towards them for hurting us we inflict on ourselves, all the while they don’t care or even realize that their actions affect other people. All we can do is understand what part we played and owe an apology either to someone or to ourselves.

      1. Hi Matt,

Thanks for the comment. Great to see you here. We are all on a journey together, waking up, helping each other to grow, and discovering what’s possible. Congratulations on your recent news, and live your life to the fullest.

  3. I was giving a seminar entitled Inspirational Leadership in Cairo, Egypt last month. I had the distinct pleasure of having in the audience the president of the Central Bank of Egypt. When I mentioned a line from Neville, “Assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” I captured his attention and never lost it. When we came to the session on Goal Setting and I mentioned that having a goal statement that starts with, “I will . . .” is the first admission that you are NOT. They were very impressed. it seems that all these “flavor of the month” leadership or management consultants they have sought in the past never really reached them. I am 66 now and have, for the first time in my life, the opportunity to make of my work what I want. I have a 5 yo son a 3 1/2 yo daughter and a little 2 yo baby boy. My wife is 29 years younger but vastly more mature than I am. I try each day to get her to, “let go and let God”. She is working hard at it. I am so blessed and realized last year that all my life I have lived my dreams and wishes as though they had already happened. I am a Muslim and I only mention this because you can’t know how in sync existentialism is to Islam. Muslims would never agree.

    1. Hi Jim,

Thank you for the reminder to “assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled”. We modeled Neville Goddard in a year long coaching program last year, and found that tiny little golden nugget priceless. It is a gift to me today. Thank you, and holding blessings in mind for all you do.
