Retreat Day 1 of 7 – Weaning Off Reality

“When was the last time you noticed – how much being important is costing you?”

It’s Day 1 of 7. Today we are encouraged to check in with “reality”, for the next 3 days. Feel free to get on your laptops or check your phone messages three times today. Take a peek OUTSIDE – check in with your REALITY, just to make sure it is okay without you. So I take my 15 minutes today, I check my sites, I check my emails, I check my text messages and I notice, even after all these years of leading trainings LIKE THIS…

“The NEED to be in the middle of it all seems to be a real block to EXPERIENCING all that is.”

Funny thing, I teach this stuff – and people tell me that I am great at it – and I giggle at how many ways I can continue to relearn it and explore it. The fortune cookie that was given to me by the sweet young lady said, “There is a vast difference between understanding and understanding – continue walking on your path.”

And so I do. And so I am. Inviting you to join me on the path.

And so I check in with you – and I check in with me – as I wean off the REALITY that I made so important. Websites are good. Email is good. Text messages are good. So is not checking them so often. Life seems to survive without me being “in the middle of it”.

And I am enjoying “Weaning Off Reality”, finding some nice nuggets of peace, possibility, and perspective. How can you apply and use this today? Let me know below.

Have an amazing day!

  1. Hey Twenty,

Exploring the edge… the quest of vision… nice. I have often been making the choice of leaving my cell phone behind. Why do I need a cell phone with me at all times? Today I transplanted a 25 year old Japanese Maple. Getting grounded and in touch with the ground.

    1. Thanks Rick. I’ve been playing with calling people – instead of waiting for them to call me. Even those who leave their cell phone behind. That’s my edge mate.

      Your friend,

      Mr Twenty Twenty
