There are those moments of magic, when you see someone who just inspires you so deeply, that you just have to tell someone, tell everyone, because your life has been forever changed.
Today I ran head first into one of those moments of magic.
I didn’t know I would have a very special moment of magic today, when I gave Carol a kiss, and went outside. After 4 minutes of stretching, I headed down over the hill. The short walk toward that miracle moment, gave me the opportunity to exercise my Native Eyes.
The wisdom and skills I learned from my Native American mentors are powerful. They help me notice both opportunities and treats that many people miss. They also help me notice miracles.
I saw the tracks before I saw the man. His left foot was turned out almost a full 90 degrees. His steps were short, almost as if he had to drag is foot. Even at a fast walk, I saw four round depressions left behind in the dirt outside of his right foot.
The man I call Charlie, was walking toward the running track, using a four pronged “quad cane”.
Most people would have never seen the tracks, much less noticed the details at that speed. What amazed me most this morning, wasn’t the details that my well trained eyes noticed at a glance, but the MIRACLES that they revealed to me.
Something in the tracks, something that is hard to explain, told me that he was a young man. A quite determined young man.
“When you look at someone’s hands, have you noticed that you can literally see clues as to their mental and emotional frame of mind? It’s the same with tracking, when you have Native Eyes.”
So I ran my wind sprints today. I ran around the track. I ran until my lungs and legs felt on fire. And when I wasn’t sprinting, I kept walking.
“On the outside, I ran laps around Quad Cane Charlie. On the inside, he soared high into the sky, and ran mega laps around me.”
His determination, guts, and willingness to Just Kick Ass inspired me. He inspired me enough to write this, and to share him with you.
I have three requests today that will Amp Up your life.
1. If you have a moment, and believe in the power of prayer, kind thoughts, or powerful intentions, hold something great for Quad Cane Charlie in mind.
2. Do something NOTABLE today, and let me know about it. Do something that requires determination, guts, and a willingness to Just Kick Ass.
3. Leave a comment, and tell a friend to come read about Quad Cane Charlie. I’d like for him to know on some level that his determination made a difference.
It’s your life, start living it!
