The truth about peace and the peace pipe.
I learned this from a Native American elder and friend of mine years ago. The anthropologists are obsessed with “the peace pipe”. And yes, it’s considered HOLY, but what is more important is what is smoked in it, and why.
“Tobacco, it’s the “thank you plant”. Traditionally smoked for inspiration and thanksgiving. When you meet someone on the trail, or have someone over for dinner, you smoke with them. Sitting in silence, being grateful, discovering new connections and inspirations together.”
The Genetic Connection.
According to a really cool book called, “The Davinci Method”, there are a group of people called “DaVinci’s”, who have a specific gene called the DRD4 gene activated. These folks are the true creatives and healers, and they benefit from smoking tobacco.
“Because smoking tobacco helps them especially be more creative, because of how it helps them generate a specific kind of brain wave. Think about this, and look at how many cool creative folks smoked cigars. People like Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, and so many others.”
“If you want peace in the world, don’t focus on peace, focus on what generates peace.”
Putting first things first.
If I am thankful for what I have in my life, and creative with it THEN of course I am going to be peaceful. I won’t be bitching about folks, I won’t be thinking that I have to steal their stuff to become happy. I will already be there, because I put first things first.
“So be thankful, and explore your power of creativity. And consider this. What if it was STINKING THINKING while smoking that causes cancer, not the smoking itself?”
Stinking thinking makes you weak, it makes you hold your breath and it makes you ugly on the inside.
Just some thoughts, based on observation, experience, and some old Native Ways.
Let me know what you think, feel free to leave a comment.
