He stood there, holding our camera, trying to figure out what button to push to take our photo. He knew he wanted to take the photo, he just couldn’t PULL THE TRIGGER. He didn’t know what button to push, and it put his mind and body into a tail spin. Life is like that. If you don’t know what button to push, everything gets complicated and… the magic moment passes you by.
That moment at the New Zealand hot springs was the inception of something HUGE. The Trigger Point.
Because:
In life – if you can’t find THE TRIGGER POINT – how can you possibly expect things to change? If you are clueless about YOUR REAL trigger point, life will be like trying to take a photo – while pushing all the wrong buttons. Frustrating and futile at best. You’ll lose energy, vitality, hold your breath and… well the magic of the moment will pass you by – again.
The Trigger Point: The Trigger Point is the EXACT point INSIDE YOUR MIND – BODY – SPIRIT that when tapped into – IGNITES the fire within – enables joyful action – gets you OUT OF YOUR HEAD AND BACK INTO YOUR LIFE.
I started applying The Trigger Point everywhere, I wanted to know WITH PRECISION as a coach and trainer how to help my clients discover EXACTLY what turns thier useless piles of data and “I know what I need to do” thinking into PURE ROCKET FUEL – so that YOU CAN’T HELP but PULL THE TRIGGER – AND CHANGE YOUR WORLD.
So here are the Trigger Point Set Ups, use them wisely.
1. First – realize something obvious. If you think you know what you need to be doing differently, and you aren’t BEING ENERGIZED by that, you are not only barking up the wrong tree, climbing the wrong ladder, and trying to nail jello to the wall, you are LIVING INSIDE YOUR HEAD – AND YOUR REAL LIFE IS DEAD. (So let’s assume, like any new coaching client and I do, that we don’t have any REAL CLUE – YET – to what you really need to be doing differently.) The truth sets us free. Whoo yah!
2. Admit to another human being that you don’t have a clue about what to do, what really needs to get done, where to begin or what your TRIGGER POINT IS – opens the door WIDE OPEN – to using simple yet powerful questions – that will ignite a fire within you – one that actually LIGHTENS UP and ILLUMINATES your world, but also with the power of LIGHT helps us notice and discover what you really want, what you GET to do (not need to do) and what is really exciting and possible for you.
3. Stop trying to TALK YOURSELF into change. Talking yourself into change almost always activates almost invisible internal dialogue – that runs EXATLY COUNTER to all your Positive Verbal Goals and Intentions. Instead, do two things. Discover the DE ENERGIZING QUESTIONS you almost absent mindedly ask yourself, and DEVELOP a series of questions that LIGHTS YOUR FIRE.
The Trigger Point. It really is that simple.
The Trigger Point is simple but maybe not easy.
Because if it was easy to work on yourself, like this, everyone would do it.
MASTER KEY: It is almost IMPOSSIBLE – to work on yourself. Your mind is fast, tricky, and wants to be RIGHT – even at the expense of YOU – that is why perhaps the MOST INTELLIGENT folks – get the most stuck sometimes.
So I have taught my girlfriend how to help me with those three master keys, and EXACTLY how to expose and unearth MY INVISIBLE QUESTIONS. She is my first Apprentice with Trigger Point Coaching. I trained her, because I can’t work on myself. She helps me dig up the solid gold questions that activate me and my potential.
IMPORTANT: So get someone to help you notice and change what you need to notice and change – using those keys above. Hire me if you want, train your partner or a close friend if you can.
Because, once you start – once you find your TRIGGER – you won’t be able to help but to Point and Shoot – and change your world. You can’t hit the target until you can FIND and pull the trigger.
Nuff said. Time to Rock and Roll.
Mr Twenty Twenty
PPS: Please don’t try to do it on yourself – or figure yourself out. You can so easily waste a lifetime trying to “figure yourself out”. Work with someone you can trust. It is the difference between PUSHING your car up hill, and DRIVING it uphill. Get it?
